Goldman Sachs hires law firm to shut blogger’s site

The bank has instructed Wall Street law firm Chadbourne & Parke to pursue blogger Mike Morgan, warning him in a recent cease-and-desist letter that he may face legal action if he does not close down his website.

Florida-based Mr Morgan began a blog entitled “Facts about Goldman Sachs” – the web address for which is – just a few weeks ago.

n that time Mr Morgan, a registered investment adviser, has added a number of posts to the site, including one entitled “Does Goldman Sachs run the world?”. However, many of the posts relate to other Wall Street firms and issues.

According to Chadbourne & Parke’s letter, dated April 8, the bank is rattled because the site “violates several of Goldman Sachs’ intellectual property rights” and also “implies a relationship” with the bank itself.

Unsurprisingly for a man who has conjoined the bank’s name with the Number of the Beast – although he jokingly points out that 666 was also the S&P500’s bear-market bottom – Mr Morgan is unlikely to go down without a fight.

Check out the blog. There is a “Tyler Durden” helping him investigate! hah!

One of the Counterpunch guys writing about the bailout quoted this “Tyler Durden” a few weeks ago. Not sure whether he realized it was the name of a fictional character or not.

And good for Morgan for sticking it to the Goldies.

That’s a really interesting site. All the financialese makes it a bit difficult to take it all in but his basic point that this is all a shell game being run by the big players comes across loud and clear. I’m going to have to bookmark that site and check it out more often.

    For old time’s sake:

I expect this kind of crap from budhy dharma (0+ / 0-)
and other tight-pantied blog nannies, but I expected more from you and dallasdoc. What a waste of hand-wringing, panty-drenching pixels. Sheesh.

You mentioned panties twice in your comment (1+ / 0-)

Blog nannies? Blog fucking nannies? Ugogutous!!

And the second one is just weird as hell. I’d have paid good money to have seen melvin’s facial expression upon his reading that! oh lordy.

I’d say the takedown of the Houley One has been rather well done. Several of the quats did quite well, indeed.
